[Asia Economy Reporter Park Ji-hwan] On the 16th, Choi Young, Vice Chairman of Nice Holdings and father of the Air Force soldier recently embroiled in the 'emperor service' controversy, expressed his intention to resign from all positions within the group on the company bulletin board.
According to Nice Holdings on the 17th, Vice Chairman Choi posted a message stating, "Although not all suspicions have been clarified yet, since this incident occurred due to my negligence, nothing should harm the reputation and status of the beloved NICE Group even slightly. Therefore, I intend to step down from all positions within the group, including CEO of Nice Holdings."
Vice Chairman Choi added, "However, I feel regretful about the many speculative articles being produced despite the ongoing investigation," and emphasized, "I believe it is not appropriate to express a personal stance until the Air Force's official investigation results are released, and I expect all suspicions to be clearly resolved through the investigation results."
He further explained the reason for his resignation by saying, "Although not all suspicions have been clarified yet, since this incident occurred due to my negligence, nothing should harm the reputation and status of the beloved NICE Group even slightly. I made this decision with the thought that no further wounds should be inflicted on the hearts of the executives and employees."
