7 Teams from Suncheon National University Startup Support Clubs Selected for the '2020 Jeollanam-do University Venture Club Support Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon National University (President Ko Young-jin) announced on the 16th that seven startup support clubs composed of enrolled students were finally selected at the end of May in the 『2020 University Venture Club Support Project』 hosted by Jeollanam-do.
The 『2020 Jeollanam-do University Venture Club Support Project』 is a program aimed at discovering innovative and excellent startup ideas from university students, assisting in prototype production, and promoting commercialization. A total of 30 clubs from nine universities in the Jeonnam region, including Suncheon National University, were finally selected.
The Suncheon National University student startup support clubs selected for this project are △‘Auer Studio,’ producing design keyrings △‘Cooking Mama,’ manufacturing healthy pet snacks using edible insects △‘Fermentation Gold,’ producing fermented health functional foods for the silver generation △‘No Entry,’ producing two-way jogger pants △‘Dreamroot2020,’ developing a craft beer and homebrewing education platform △‘Jam-it-neun Insaeng,’ manufacturing alternative meat products using meal kits △‘WHATEVER,’ producing accessories with design epoxy art. These seven teams will receive various benefits, including a total support fund of about 30 million won, startup activity spaces, expert mentoring, and commercialization consulting.

Choi Yong-seok, head of the Startup Support Group at Suncheon National University, said, “With the beautiful spirit of challenge and passion of the students, our university produced the highest number of seven teams among the nine universities in Jeonnam selected for this project.” He added, “Through the systematic startup process of our university’s Startup Support Group, which was selected as the host institution for the 2020 Early Startup Package Project last May, we expect these young people to grow into contributors to regional economic revitalization.”
