[Breaking] UN Secretary-General Sends Letter to Moon: "Korea, a Model Country in COVID-19 Response"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] The Blue House announced on the 16th that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sent a letter to President Moon Jae-in, praising the South Korean government's response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) as exemplary.
Yoon Jaegwan, Deputy Spokesperson of the Blue House, stated in a written briefing that through the letter sent by Secretary-General Guterres on the 2nd, he evaluated that "South Korea's strong public health response based on extensive early diagnosis and contact tracing has become a model for other countries."

In a letter sent to President Moon on April 30, Secretary-General Guterres also stated, "Overcoming the COVID-19 crisis must go hand in hand with climate action," and added, "I look forward to South Korea's leadership in the field of climate change."
