HDC Hyundai Development Company Collaborates with Qualcomm on Smart City Technology Development
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] HDC Hyundai Development Company announced on the 15th that it has decided to collaborate with global communication chip manufacturer Qualcomm to jointly develop smart city models and to co-develop smart home and smart construction solution convergence technologies.
This agreement includes jointly developing smart home solutions utilizing Qualcomm's wireless technologies such as 5th generation mobile communication (5G) and Internet of Things (IoT), applied to devices like wall pads, shared entrance lobby phones, and outdoor CCTV, as well as expanding into smart construction and smart city technologies.
Accordingly, HDC Hyundai Development Company is expected to expand the scope of the HDC IoT platform, the smart home platform of I-Park, to provide more convenient services to residents.
Furthermore, they will cooperate in developing business models in the smart construction technology field, such as securing a 5G-based wireless network for real-time site monitoring, and it is anticipated that smart home, smart city, and smart construction technologies can be applied to Hyundai Development's complex development projects.
