[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 14th that 2 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have occurred.
Eunpyeong case number 42 (resident of Eungam 2-dong, male, in his 50s) was a contact of a confirmed case in Bucheon City (#11930) and had been in self-quarantine since the 12th. He visited the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 12th for testing and was confirmed positive at 6 p.m. on the 13th. He has been transferred to Seonam Hospital, a nationally designated isolation hospital.
Eunpyeong case number 43 (resident of Jingwan-dong, male, in his 30s) entered the country from overseas (Iraq) on the 12th and was in self-quarantine. He visited the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 13th for testing and was finally confirmed positive at 9:30 a.m. on the 14th. He has been transferred to Seobuk Hospital, a nationally designated isolation hospital.
The residences of the confirmed cases have been disinfected, and detailed movement routes will be disclosed on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website once the epidemiological investigation results are available.
