Professor at Kyung Hee University Arrested and Indicted for Sexual Assault of Graduate Student Mentee
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A professor at Kyung Hee University who was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a drunken graduate student has been indicted in custody.
The Women's and Children's Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Joon-sik) announced on the 12th that Professor A of Kyung Hee University, accused of quasi-rape, has been indicted in custody.
Professor A is accused of sexually assaulting graduate student B after drinking together in November last year, when B lost consciousness. B immediately reported Professor A to the police after the incident. The Mapo Police Station in Seoul forwarded the case to the prosecution in March with a recommendation for indictment without detention.
