Jindo-gun Promotes Jindo-style Green New Deal Project
15 Projects in 4 Sectors... Transforming into a City Where Residents Breathe
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that it will promote the Jindo-type Green New Deal Flower Project aimed at creating bright streets and beautiful landscapes.
This project, with a total investment of 5.1 billion KRW including 2.7 billion KRW from national and provincial funds and 2.4 billion KRW from the county budget, consists of 15 projects in 4 areas targeting urban forests where residents breathe, three-dimensional bright streets, pleasant residential environments, and forest landscape maintenance for bright street creation.
The main projects include ▲ creating street landscapes and flower paths in the town and city center areas ▲ supporting measures to reduce fine dust air pollution ▲ supporting eco-friendly energy supply facilities ▲ creating pleasant streets, aiming to complete the projects by the end of this year to promote residents' health and create beautiful streets.
In addition, a technical advisory group composed of experts in landscaping, design, and urban forests will be formed and operated to ensure the projects are carried out thoroughly.

A Jindo-gun Environment and Forestry Department official said, “We are promoting the project to improve residents' quality of life, including health promotion, by creating flower paths and tree-lined streets with seasonal characteristics.” He added, “We will focus administrative efforts on policy development to expand the project in connection with government policies.”
