One Additional COVID-19 Case Confirmed Among Residents of Eunpyeong-gu
Eunpyeong Case No. 40 (Resident of Galhyeon 2-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Female, 60s), Suspected Contact with Gangnam Myeongseong Housing Case
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that one additional confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) occurred on the 10th.
The 40th confirmed case in Eunpyeong (resident of Galhyeon 2-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, female, in her 60s) is presumed to have come into contact with a confirmed case from Myeongseong Housing in Gangnam. While under self-quarantine, she visited the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 10th, was tested, and received the final confirmation of infection around 6 p.m. on the 10th.
The confirmed patient has been transferred to Seoul Medical Center, a nationally designated isolation hospital bed, and disinfection of the patient’s residence and surrounding areas has been completed.
An epidemiological investigation is underway regarding the newly confirmed case, and additional verified information will be disclosed through the Eunpyeong-gu Office website.
