LG Electronics "Environmental Protection Activities Also Go Contactless"
Online Sharing of Everyday Environmental Protection Practices
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 11th that it is continuing environmental protection practices in a non-face-to-face manner amid the difficulties of group activities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
LG Electronics recently held an event with the labor union for employees to share their environmental protection activities practiced in daily life online. While encouraging environmental protection practices in everyday life, the best ideas will be expanded into a company-wide campaign.
In this event, employees are sharing environmental protection activities they practice in their daily lives, such as ▲using tumblers instead of paper cups ▲removing plastic wrap from PET bottles for recycling ▲using public transportation.
Since 2010, LG Electronics has designated World Environment Day as "LG Electronics Volunteer Day" every year and has been conducting environmental protection activities. Up to last year, more than 50,000 domestic and overseas employees have participated in environmental protection.
