[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Yong-seop) announced on the 10th that it has completed the renovation of the public restrooms in the fruit and vegetable auction hall within the Seobu Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market.
The Seobu Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market is the largest logistics center distributing agricultural and marine products in Honam, opened in 2004, and is used by an average of 10,000 people daily.
The city invested 200 million KRW to renovate 12 of the 27 aging restrooms, prioritizing those in the fruit and vegetable auction hall most frequently visited by citizens, starting eco-friendly renovation work on April 8.
In this renovation, to create a pleasant environment, pest repellents and fans were installed, and automatic cleaning sensors were attached to the restrooms for the disabled, allowing users to use them conveniently without touching anything.
