Special Training Conducted for Paramedics
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Northern Fire Station (Chief Lee Wonyong) announced on the 10th that it conducted a ‘Special Training for Paramedics’ to provide high-quality emergency medical services.
This training is part of the special education that had been suspended due to COVID-19, aimed at improving the survival rate of emergency patients and enhancing quality management by strengthening the professionalism of 119 paramedics.
Based on various disaster site cases, the training focused on ▲ prevention of assault incidents against 119 paramedics and safety education ▲ compliance guidelines for emergency activities in mass casualty incidents ▲ re-emphasis on COVID-19 transport guidelines and instructions on precautions.
Additionally, to improve the advanced emergency treatment skills for cardiac arrest patients, the training enhanced practical efficiency by supplementing deficiencies through task sharing among team members, including smart medical guidance and the use of mechanical chest compression devices.
