The on-site communication mobile county governor's office was promoted to realize communicative administration by directly visiting the sites related to the difficulties of island residents who are easily isolated from the mainland, as well as the proposed projects and safety facilities.
On that day, after first explaining the county's COVID-19 response situation and post-COVID-19 era response plans, the schedule proceeded with conversations with residents and visits to proposed project sites.
At Heukildo and Baekildo in Gunoe-myeon, visited on the first day, promises were made to sequentially support major proposals such as ▲installation of typhoon shelter piers ▲display of seaweed at the Wando International Seaweed Expo ▲construction of passenger ship docking facilities and coastal roads for marine traffic convenience ▲support for marine waste disposal.
Additionally, for immediately addressable proposals such as ▲replacement of aging streetlights ▲deployment of care workers ▲renovation of pavilions ▲renovation of senior welfare centers ▲installation of safety facilities at passenger ship piers, immediate action was taken through on-site inspections.
County Governor Shin Woo-cheol expressed his apologies in his greeting for not being able to visit residents more frequently and emphasized that he is carrying out county administration by devising measures for seafood consumption and tourism revitalization through the marine healing industry in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era, which is expected to bring many changes.
He also stated, “We will make further efforts to improve the quality of life of residents through various projects aimed at ensuring the safety and improving living conditions of island residents.”
