Yongin City Replaces Outdoor Electronic Display at City Hall
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province has replaced the outdoor electronic display board at the city hall. It also plans to sequentially replace the aging electronic display boards along the streets.
On the 9th, Yongin City announced that it is carrying out improvements in the operation of 'public outdoor electronic display boards,' including enhancing the performance of the display board installed at the city hall and dismantling the aging street-side electronic display boards.
The city first completed the installation of the enhanced outdoor electronic display board at the city hall on the 22nd of last month. The large electronic display board (16m×9m) installed on the 5th floor of the city hall is a product manufactured by a Yongin-based company holding LED display board patent technology. The city expects that its clear image quality and minimized distortion will help in promoting city policies and providing public information.
The city underwent public design review and consulted the Korea Broadcasting Equipment Industry Center (KOBEC) regarding this display board.
The display board is clearly visible from the Yongin City Hall Station area of the light rail and the heavily trafficked National Route 42.
Additionally, the city will gradually dismantle three aging outdoor electronic display boards whose operation was halted due to amendments in the 'Outdoor Advertising물 등 관리법' (Outdoor Advertising Management Act).
