[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The musical "Murder Ballad," which depicts the tangled love of one woman and two men, is returning to the domestic stage after four years.
Co-hosted by Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and Double K Film & Theater Co., Ltd., "Murder Ballad," presented as part of the "2020 Sejong Season," will be performed at Sejong S Theater from August 11 to October 25.
"Murder Ballad" premiered in 2012 at the Manhattan Theatre Club on Broadway in New York and received critical acclaim. It had its domestic premiere in 2013 and was staged consecutively in 2014 and 2015.

Kim Jae-beom, Kim Kyung-soo, and Go Eun-sung play the role of "Tom," who falls into a fatal tragedy unable to forget his former lover, Sarah. Kim So-hyang, Kim Ryeo-won, Lee Ye-eun, and Heo Hye-jin are cast as "Sarah," who, exhausted by the repetitive dullness of married life, eventually contacts her former lover "Tom." Lee Geon-myeong, Enok, Jung Sang-yoon, and Jo Hyung-kyun appear as "Michael," the romantic husband who devotes himself to "Sarah," whom he fell in love with at first sight. Jang Eun-ah, Moon Jin-ah, and So Jeong-hwa, who were beloved for their roles as the "Narrator" in the premiere and revival, reprise their roles as the bar manager operated by "Tom" and the narrator who conveys all the tragedies to the audience.
