"Gmarket and Auction Support Traditional Markets by Recruiting Onnuri Gift Certificate Merchants"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] eBay Korea, operating Gmarket and Auction, announced on the 9th that it is recruiting traditional market small business owners in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service. This is to help expand sales channels for market merchants while promoting the activation of the Onnuri electronic gift certificate payment service.
New registration for Onnuri gift certificate affiliated stores is open to any merchant operating a business at addresses registered as traditional markets, shopping districts, or commercial revitalization zones under local governments nationwide. Applicants can download the affiliation application form from the Gmarket and Auction recruitment event pages, fill it out, obtain confirmation from the merchants' association or local government, and then send the related documents to the Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration. The affiliation review and registration by the Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration takes about 7 business days.
Until the 30th, the first 200 merchants who newly register as Onnuri gift certificate affiliated stores on Gmarket and Auction will receive Onnuri electronic gift certificates worth 20,000 KRW.
Meanwhile, in March, Gmarket and Auction introduced the Onnuri electronic gift certificate payment service for traditional markets for the first time in the industry. Since the introduction of this service, the payment amount using Onnuri electronic gift certificates for purchases in May increased by 30% compared to the previous month. Currently, products from about 1,600 traditional market small business owners can be purchased using Onnuri electronic gift certificates.
