Accordingly, following the return to school for all high school grades on the 3rd, the schedule for in-person classes for all elementary and middle school grades has been completed.
For middle schools, in-person attendance can be arranged on a biweekly basis for first and second-year students to reduce density in response to COVID-19, following consultations among school members. All schools minimize contact between students by dispersing them through measures such as separating routes between grades and adjusting attendance times, meal times, and break times by grade to prevent infectious diseases.
As the number of elementary school students attending in person increases, schools operate optimized attendance plans such as alternating day or alternating week schedules based on school conditions and consultations with members, considering the safety, health, and learning rights of students in oversized and overcrowded classes. Group activities and movement classes within the school are also minimized to prevent contact and droplet infection.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education notified parents through each school to access the daily health self-diagnosis system before attending school for all students, and guided the 'COVID-19 Response In-Person Classes, Attendance, Evaluation, and Record Operation Guidelines 2nd Edition' to support in-person classes more promptly and actively.
