[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Kim Kyungho) donated about 3 tons (1,040 bags) of newly harvested garlic purchased at Garak Market to the Seoul Metropolitan Food Bank on the 29th of last month to share the burden of garlic producers suffering from price declines and to stabilize supply and demand through consumption promotion.
The garlic donated to the Seoul Metropolitan Food Bank on this day was distributed to neighbors in need, including food bank markets in 25 autonomous districts in Seoul and social welfare facilities.
In addition, the corporation shared 'garlic recipes' along with the garlic donation to further increase the utilization of garlic.
