Since April, Samsung Electronics has applied a dot design to the packaging boxes of lifestyle TVs sold worldwide and provided templates so consumers can cut and assemble them into desired shapes, creating an 'Eco Package.'
The 'EcoPetHouseChallenge' is an upcycling contest organized by Samsung Electronics that allows consumers to directly practice the value of 'environmental protection' by designing and making pet houses or small furniture that can be practically used in daily life using the Eco Package.
To participate, entrants must create a work using the Eco Package and upload at least three photos of their work on social networking services (SNS) with the required hashtags by the 30th. By scanning the QR code on the top of the packaging box, anyone can easily participate by checking various small furniture making methods such as pet houses, remote control holders, and bookshelves.
Consumers who purchase Samsung Lifestyle TVs with the Eco Package can participate in the contest using the packaging materials, and others can also apply for the Eco Package on the Samsung.com website to enter.
Samsung Electronics plans to provide all entrants with a limited edition 'Save The World' set, including eco-bags, badges, and memo pads, created in collaboration with 'Kimu Studio,' which discovers artists with developmental disabilities.
