Kakao Kids Changes Company Name to 'Yanadu' "Plans IPO Next Year"
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao Kids is changing its name to 'Yanadoo' and launching anew as a comprehensive education company.
On the 4th, Kakao Kids stated, "This name change is a measure to grow into a comprehensive education company that provides services to all age groups, not limited to the infant and child education market." Kakao Kids and Yanadoo, which established a merged corporation last year, recorded sales of 30 billion KRW in the first quarter of this year.
Going forward, as a Kakao affiliate, it plans to promote various education businesses encompassing all age groups centered on the Yanadoo brand, along with businesses utilizing the Kakao Kids brand, an infant and child education platform, and the Little Friends characters. It will cover everything from infant and child educational content centered on Kakao Kids to junior and adult educational content centered on Yanadoo.
Starting this month, Yanadoo plans to introduce new services such as the motivation platform 'Yanadoo Youcando,' various customized lectures 'Yanadoo Class,' healthcare services 'Yanadoo Fitness,' and 'Yanadoo 1:1 Intensive Care.' Through this, the plan is to grow Yanadoo into a comprehensive education platform. The goal is to achieve sales of 100 billion KRW and a profit of 20 billion KRW this year and to pursue a public listing next year.

Yanadoo stated, "This name change is a decision based on the fact that the Yanadoo brand has high public recognition and familiarity in the education market, making it easier to expand the brand into various education service fields such as healthcare and customized lectures beyond English education." They added, "In the rapidly changing education market after the COVID-19 pandemic, we will swiftly promote various education businesses currently in preparation and grow into the largest comprehensive education platform in Korea."
