According to the Ministry of Education on the 3rd, eight gifted high schools nationwide, including Seoul Science High School, held a meeting on the 29th of last month with principals and admissions officers of each gifted high school, the Ministry of Education, and metropolitan and provincial education offices, and made this decision.
Students confirmed with COVID-19 or under self-quarantine who violate this rule and take the exam will be disqualified regardless of their exam results. They may also face criminal penalties under the "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act."
