Volvo Trucks Korea Appoints Park Gang-seok as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Volvo Trucks Korea announced on the 2nd that it has appointed Kangseok Park, Executive Director of the Aftermarket Business Division, as the new CEO.
Volvo Trucks stated that the new CEO Park will lead the expansion of the cargo truck business, growth of the aftermarket business, and establishment of the retail network based on his extensive experience and expertise accumulated over 25 years in the passenger and commercial vehicle business.
CEO Park graduated from the Department of Metallurgical Engineering at Pusan National University. Before joining Volvo Trucks Korea, he was in charge of the aftermarket and overseas service divisions at Ssangyong Motor, and held key positions in the aftermarket division at Daewoo Motors and GM Daewoo.

Starting his career at Volvo Trucks Korea in 2006 in the service division, CEO Park served as head of the Eastern Business Headquarters in the Gyeongsang region from 2014, overseeing sales, service, and retail network operations, achieving growth in the Gyeongsang region. He then enhanced his capabilities by managing Volvo Trucks Korea's key project, the cargo business. In 2019, he returned to the aftermarket business division and has been strengthening service competitiveness since then.
