JW Holdings and US Baxter Jointly Develop Nutritional Infusion Solution
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] JW Holdings announced on the 2nd that it has signed a product development and supply contract for a new nutritional infusion solution targeting the U.S. market with the American healthcare company Baxter Healthcare.
Under this contract, the two companies will jointly develop the new nutritional infusion solution. JW Holdings will supply the new product to Baxter through its subsidiary JW Life Science, and Baxter will be responsible for distribution, sales, and other marketing activities for these products in the United States. Information about the new product and the scale and terms of the contract will remain confidential as agreed by both parties.
JW Holdings and Baxter also agreed to adjust the global business scope for the 3-chamber total parenteral nutrition solution "Pinomel." JW Holdings disclosed yesterday that the two companies have adjusted the sales and supply regions related to the infusion (Pinomel) export contract signed in 2013.
Accordingly, Baxter's sales and supply regions have been changed to Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and North Africa, excluding South Korea. Distribution rights for countries outside these regions belong to the JW Group.
Through this contract, JW Holdings will be able to directly export Pinomel to Asian countries with geographical advantages through Baxter's support and collaboration. Baxter plans to focus more on marketing activities targeting regions such as Europe and Oceania.
