Gangseo-gu Recruits 100 University Students for Administrative and Welfare Experience Group
Gaining Experience Working at District Offices, Community Centers, and Social Welfare Agencies

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is recruiting for the ‘Summer Vacation University Student Administrative and Welfare Experience Group’ until the 16th.
The ‘University Student Administrative and Welfare Experience Group’ is operated to allow university students to work at the district office, community service centers, social welfare institutions, etc., to increase their understanding and interest in district administration and to reflect their perspectives as young people.
This recruitment is for a total of 100 people, with 50 working in the administrative field and 50 in the welfare field.
Applicants must be university students (including junior colleges) currently residing in Gangseo-gu as of the application date, including those on leave of absence. However, students enrolled in cyber universities, broadcasting and communication universities, computer institutes, and graduate students are excluded.
University students wishing to participate can apply through the Gangseo-gu District Office website from 9 a.m. on June 10 to 6 p.m. on June 16.
The selection results will be posted on June 17 on the district office website’s notice board and individual notifications will also be sent.
Work locations will be assigned by reflecting applicants’ preferred departments, residence, transportation, and majors as much as possible at the time of registration.
The work period is from July 3 to July 30, during which participants will assist with tasks at the district office, community service centers, welfare centers, and vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, providing indirect public services to residents.
Working hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., five days a week, five hours per day (20 actual working days, plus 4 days of weekly holiday pay). Compensation is 48,950 KRW per day including lunch and employment insurance, totaling 1,174,800 KRW per month for full attendance.
On the last day of work, a meeting will be held to hear the university students’ impressions and suggestions based on their one-month experience.

A district official said, “This program is expected to be a good opportunity for local youth to review administration from their perspective and for university students to gain experience providing public services,” and added, “We hope many interested university students will participate.”
