A Man in His 50s from Seodaemun-gu Confirmed with COVID-19 After Entering UAE
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 30th, the 27th COVID-19 case was confirmed in Seodaemun-gu.
The confirmed patient is a man in his 50s residing in Namgajwa 2-dong, Seodaemun-gu, who showed symptoms of fever, muscle pain, and cough. On the afternoon of the 29th, he visited the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center screening clinic for testing.
He was confirmed positive on the morning of the 30th and was transferred to a treatment hospital that afternoon.
Previously, the patient had entered the country on the morning of the 24th through Incheon International Airport from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
At the time of entry, he tested negative for COVID-19 at the airport quarantine station and maintained self-quarantine at his home until additional testing after returning home by a taxi designated for overseas arrivals.
