Doosan Industrial Vehicles BG to Halt Production for 8 Days Next Month to Maintain Optimal Inventory
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Doosan Corporation will temporarily halt production at its Industrial Vehicles BG Incheon plant for 8 days next month.
According to Doosan on the 30th, the company announced the day before that "due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), there will be a temporary production adjustment to maintain appropriate inventory levels and a holiday around the company’s founding anniversary (on the 4th of next month)."
The production suspension dates are a total of 8 days: the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 11th, 12th, 15th, and 16th of next month.
The Industrial Vehicles BG, which will temporarily halt production, recorded sales of 573.8 billion KRW last year, accounting for 3.10% of Doosan Corporation’s consolidated sales based on last year’s financial statements.

Doosan Corporation explained that the suspension is limited to the Industrial Vehicles BG Incheon plant, and other business divisions such as Electronics BG and Motrol BG will continue normal operations.
