Yoon Mi-hyang: "My Husband's Newspaper Offered the Lowest Amount, No Profit Was Made"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Yoon Mi-hyang, the elected member of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated regarding the allegations related to her husband's newspaper company, "We entrusted editing and other tasks to the place that offered the lowest price."
At a press conference held at the National Assembly Communication Office on the 29th, Yoon said, "I would like to address the allegations that my husband's newspaper company unfairly profited by receiving orders from Jeonguiyeon. Jeonguiyeon publishes a newsletter once a year in November, the month of its founding, reporting on that year's activities and presenting plans for major future projects."
She continued, "In 2019, Jeonguiyeon requested estimates from four companies, including Suwon Citizen Newspaper, to select a vendor, and entrusted the newsletter design, editing, and printing to Suwon Citizen Newspaper, which offered the lowest price at that time."
