Namwon City has developed an emotional tourism product to eliminate such unnecessary confusion.
The city announced on the 29th that it has developed an emotional tourism product composed of nine content categories to meet the needs of individual free travelers and to secure the diversity of Namwon tourism, and has listed it on the Namwon City website.
The selected contents by the city include nine categories: ▲Hanok section ▲Performance & Experience section ▲Literature section ▲Trail section ▲Dining section ▲Filming section ▲Leisure Sports section ▲Movie & Drama section ▲Photo Zone section.
In the Hanok section, the city selected 14 must-visit places in Namwon, including the representative attraction Gwanghallu Garden, Hanok accommodation facilities Namwon Yechon, and the historic Yun Young-taek House.
In the Performance & Experience section, 33 events led by Namwon citizens were selected, such as the new magistrate’s procession (Singwan Satto Buim Haengcha) and traditional weddings. In the Literature section, nine places were selected, including the Honbul Literature Museum, Seodo Station, and the Classic Novel Literature Museum.
For the Trail section, eight courses unique to Namwon were chosen, including the Jirisan Dullegil, Guryong Waterfall Circular Trail, and Jucheon-Bamjae Trail.
To assist travelers who are unsure about what food to choose in an unfamiliar destination, the city selected seven representative Namwon dishes in the Dining section, such as Chueotang (loach soup), eel set meals, and Heukdwaeji (black pork).
Additionally, in the Filming section, the city selected and listed 10 must-photograph locations in Namwon, including Mongsimjae, prehistoric petroglyphs, and the seated Buddha rock carving.
Moreover, the city picked eight activities for the Leisure Sports section, such as light aircraft experiences, rock climbing, golf, and mountain biking. For the Movie & Drama section, places like Chunhyang Theme Park, Seonamu Forest, Gwanghallu, and Seodo Station?famous as a filming location for the drama Mr. Sunshine?were selected.
In the Photo Zone section, seven locations were chosen, including Gwanghallu, Yeruwon, Seungwol Waterfall, and Herb Valley.
A city official explained, “Recently, many tourists visiting Namwon have frequently inquired about free and emotional tourism courses or hidden spots they want to keep to themselves. Recognizing these needs, the city developed necessary travel information into emotional tour content.”
