The Ulsan District Court, Criminal Division 9 (Judge Moon Ki-seon), announced on the 29th that it sentenced A (51), who was tried for obstruction of official duties, to eight months in prison.
The court stated, "The crime is serious as the defendant threatened a district office employee protecting his daughter with a blunt weapon, with the help of the police, due to signs of child abuse."
Furthermore, the court explained the sentencing reasoning, saying, "Considering the trend of disregarding public authority, strict punishment is necessary, and the defendant has not been forgiven by the victimized public official."
