Homeplus Partners with Nonghyup to Sell Agricultural Products... 30% Discount on Tomatoes and Chamoe
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Homeplus announced on the 29th that it will hold a promotional event in collaboration with Nonghyup Economic Holdings to boost sales of Korean agricultural products from farms struggling to sell due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) until the 3rd of next month.
Focusing on fruits and vegetables, fresh products supplied by Nonghyup such as watermelon, chamoe, tomato, and peeled garlic, which have seen sluggish consumption, will be sold at an average discount of 30%. Dedicated display stands and banners for the promotional products will be installed in stores, and separate promotional events will be held.
Representative products include ▲Watermelon (under 6~7kg) for 12,990 KRW ▲Watermelon (under 7~8kg) for 14,990 KRW ▲Watermelon (under 8~9kg) for 15,900 KRW ▲Jumbo Watermelon (9~12kg) for 16,990 KRW ▲Seongju Honey Chamoe (2.5kg) for 12,990 KRW, with an additional 3,000 KRW discount when paying with the event card. Also, Gangwon Malgeuncheong Chal Tomato (4kg) and fully ripe tomato (4kg) are offered at 10,990 KRW each, and Jeju House Milsam (1.3kg) at 14,990 KRW, with an additional 2,000 KRW discount when paying with the event card. Vegetables are also sold at discounted prices such as ▲GAP zucchini (2 pieces) for 2,490 KRW ▲GAP tadagi cucumber (7 pieces) for 2,990 KRW ▲Cheongyang shiitake mushrooms (pack) for 3,990 KRW ▲Button mushrooms (180g pack) for 2,990 KRW. Furthermore, large quantities of peeled garlic (1kg bag) and onions (3kg net) will be offered at 3,990 KRW and 4,990 KRW respectively for two days only on the 28th and 29th.
