Jeongeup-si Accelerates Efforts to Secure National Budget for Next Year

The city announced on the 28th that on the 27th, Mayor Yoo Jin-seop and the Jeongeup City delegation visited the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to carry out activities to secure the 2021 national budget.
Mayor Yoo met with Minister Kim Hyun-mi of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to explain the necessity and validity of four projects under the ministry’s jurisdiction and actively requested budget allocation.
In particular, as a strong restructuring of budgets across ministries is expected next year due to the economic crisis caused by COVID-19 this year, Mayor Yoo strongly emphasized the importance of the projects to secure the budget.
The four proposed projects are ▲ Dongjingang National Ecological Stream Creation Project (28.4 billion KRW) ▲ Local Road No. 49 (Bujeon~Chilbo) Facility Improvement Project (108.9 billion KRW) ▲ Eastern Inland Area (Jeongeup~Namwon) National Road Construction Project (598.3 billion KRW) ▲ Inclusion of the 4th National Railroad Network (Jeongeup~Jeonju) Project (1.3 trillion KRW).
