Daegu Urban Railroad Installs 'Large Air Purifiers' in All Underground Stations
An Average of 25 Units Installed per Station, Totaling 1,500 Units ... Installation to be Completed by October This Year

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation announced on the 28th that, as part of the underground station air quality improvement project, it will install about 1,500 large air purifiers (48-pyeong size) on the platforms and concourses of all 61 stations on Lines 1 and 2.
The air purifiers to be installed this time are CA (Clean Air) certified products capable of removing ultrafine dust particles of 0.3㎛ or larger and harmful gases. The installation budget is approximately 4.1 billion KRW, with an average of 25 units per station to be completed by October this year.
Additionally, for the first time in the nation's metropolitan transit systems, a central control system that controls the air purifiers has been installed together, enabling the air purifiers and ventilation facilities to operate automatically according to the concentration of ultrafine dust in the underground stations.
