Gwangju Bank and Gwangju Dong-gu Sign 'One Institution·Organization One Clean Zone' Business Agreement
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced that it held a business agreement ceremony on the 28th with Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chief Im Taek) for the designation of ‘One Institution·Organization, One Clean Zone.’
The ‘One Institution·Organization, One Clean Zone’ initiative is an environmental protection activity promoted by Dong-gu, Gwangju, which declared the inaugural year of ‘Making Dong-gu Trash-Free.’ It involves designating clean zones through cleanliness movement agreements with various institutions and organizations in the district, implementing cleaning responsibility systems, and creating alley gardens.
Gwangju Bank empathized with the increasing local household waste issues and the seriousness of environmental pollution, and participated in the ‘One Institution·Organization, One Clean Zone’ business agreement to establish a proper culture of recyclable waste disposal and create a clean environment.
Through this agreement, Gwangju Bank’s 13 branches in Dong-gu, including the head office, will join the ‘One Institution·Organization, One Clean Zone’ cleanliness movement by designating 14 clean zones near each branch, with employees directly engaging in environmental volunteer activities.
Accordingly, efforts will be made to carry out practical tasks such as ▲placing one flowerpot per business ▲creating alley gardens ▲participating in the ZERO movement to avoid using disposable products ▲complying with recyclable waste separation ▲practicing the daily 10-minute ‘I sweep in front of my house and my store’ campaign ▲reducing leftover food in the cafeteria and restaurants used ▲and continuously managing the clean zones.
In particular, employees at the head office will designate the Jeonil Building 245 area and the May 18 Democratic Park as clean zones, participating in environmental volunteer activities while reflecting on the spirit of the May 18 Democratic Movement community.
