New York Korean Association Provides Protective Suits to New Jersey Veterans' Homes

[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The New York Korean Association provided 1,300 protective suits related to COVID-19 to Korean War veterans on the 26th (local time).

View original imageUpon hearing that the veterans were suffering due to COVID-19, the Korean communities in New York and New Jersey took action. The protective suits are part of 20,000 suits donated by the charitable foundation 'Naeil Foundation,' established by second-generation Korean Americans residing in the United States.
The veterans' home in Paramus, New Jersey, where the protective suits were supplied, houses a total of 336 residents, including 52 Korean War veterans. It has been reported that many casualties have occurred recently due to the COVID-19 situation.
Clean Westhoven, spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs, said, "We appreciate the support given to the veterans' home," and Charles Yoon, president of the New York Korean Association, stated, "We are glad to be able to offer some help to the veterans."
