Jeonbuk Office of Education, "We Will Prioritize Purchasing Local Products from Small and Medium Enterprises!"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] Jeonbuk Office of Education announced on the 26th that it is operating a public procurement system that prioritizes purchasing products from small and medium-sized enterprises and social enterprises in the Jeonbuk region.
The Office of Education's position is to fulfill responsible administration for public procurement and revitalize the local economy by complying with the public institution priority purchase ratio set by laws and ordinances.
The public procurement system is being promoted by the Office of Education, as well as kindergartens, elementary, middle, high schools, special schools, education support offices, and affiliated institutions within the province.
This year, the public procurement promotion ratio is set higher than the mandatory purchase ratio in all fields, with 91% for small and medium-sized enterprise products and 9.4% for women-owned enterprise products.
The Office of Education conducts education sessions more than twice a year to improve contract expertise and understanding of the public procurement system in order to actively fulfill the legally mandated purchase target ratio for public institutions.
In addition, guidance on the public procurement system, company consultations, and promotions are operated regularly.
