According to Daegu city on the 26th, the 21-year-old man, who was on his final leave before discharge from a unit in Jinju on the 12th and stayed in Daegu, tested positive in a test conducted before returning to the unit after his leave ended.
According to the first epidemiological investigation, the soldier's movements did not overlap with any recent confirmed cases. Considering that the soldier is scheduled to be discharged on the 11th of next month, the Ministry of National Defense decided to set the remaining period as treatment and leave, allowing him to be discharged immediately without returning to the unit.
With one additional confirmed case on this day, the total number of confirmed cases in the Daegu area has increased to 6,875.
