China Reports 7 New COVID-19 Cases and 29 Additional Asymptomatic Infections
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] China reported 7 new COVID-19 cases in a single day on the 25th.
On the 26th, the National Health Commission of China (NHC) announced that as of midnight, there were 7 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. All were imported cases infected overseas and entered China. Five cases were reported in Neimenggu, one in Shanghai, and one in Fujian Province.
The Chinese government does not include asymptomatic infections in the official confirmed case statistics. On this day, 29 new asymptomatic infections were reported. Currently, there are 403 asymptomatic infections under medical observation in China. Among them, 28 are imported cases, and the rest are domestic infections.

The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in mainland China is 82,992. The cumulative confirmed cases in Chinese territories outside the mainland are 1,551 in total, including Hong Kong (1,065), Macau (45), and Taiwan (441).
