KISA and Korea Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation Collaborate to Strengthen Security of Advanced Medical Devices
Cooperation in Security Technology Research and Security Breach Incident Analysis
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced on the 26th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation to strengthen the security of advanced medical devices.
The two organizations agreed to collaborate on ▲supporting research cooperation on security technologies related to advanced medical devices ▲providing consultation on analysis and response to security breach incidents ▲jointly hosting security-related education and seminars ▲sharing security-related information.
They also plan to actively cooperate to internalize security in the advanced medical device industry by conducting security testing of advanced medical devices, spreading security models, and collaborating on security technology research.
