Yongin Mayor Baek Gun-gi: "We Will Create 6,000 Public Jobs"... Accepting Citizen Proposals
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting citizen proposals to expand public sector jobs.
On the 25th, Mayor Baek Gun-gi of Yongin announced on Facebook, "We are accepting citizen ideas for public sector jobs that can help address the job shortage caused by COVID-19 and support youth workforce development."
This follows the government's plan to provide 1.56 million jobs in the short term, including in the public sector and non-face-to-face sectors, to solve the job shortage problem.
Yongin City plans to provide 6,000 jobs in the public sector over five months from July to November.
Specific areas include ▲ infectious disease prevention and containment ▲ investigation of national and public land status and database construction ▲ digitization of various paper ledgers such as compensation ledgers and construction ledgers ▲ database construction of various safety facilities ▲ maintenance of cultural and artistic activity infrastructure.
Mayor Baek promised, "We will actively accept citizen proposals for jobs that can create public value, help youth career development, and are essential for the city."
