[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Football player Son Heung-min (28, Tottenham) has been revealed to have the highest market value among Asian players competing in European football.
On the 24th (Korean time), the football transfer specialist site Transfermarkt compiled a ranking of estimated transfer fees for players from Asia.
According to Transfermarkt, Son Heung-min's transfer fee is 64 million euros (approximately 86.6 billion KRW), which is four times higher than that of Japan's Nakajima Shoya (26, Porto), who ranks second with 16 million euros (approximately 21.6 billion KRW). This amount is higher than the combined total of the four Japanese players ranked in the top 10.
Lee Kang-in (19, Valencia), known as the "Future of Korean Football" and playing in Spain's La Liga, secured a joint 4th place with a transfer fee of 13.5 million euros (approximately 18.3 billion KRW), recognizing his growth potential. Following him, Hwang Hee-chan (Salzburg, 10 million euros) ranked joint 7th, making three Korean players in the top 10.
