Bucheon Woman in Her 30s Tests Positive for COVID-19: "No Connection to First Birthday Party Buffet"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] A woman in her 30s unrelated to a first birthday buffet in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
On the 24th, Bucheon City announced that a woman in her 30s, Ms. A, residing in an officetel near the Sangdong Court Intersection, tested positive for COVID-19.
Ms. A underwent a specimen test at the Bucheon City Public Health Center screening clinic the previous day, and it was confirmed that she tested positive on the same day.
Bucheon City transferred Ms. A, who tested positive, to Suwon Medical Center. Additionally, disinfection was carried out at her residence and surrounding areas.
Bucheon City reports that Ms. A is not related to the buffet restaurant in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, where more than 10 COVID-19 cases were recently confirmed.
Currently, health authorities are investigating Ms. A's infection route and contacts.
