'Immortal Songs' Lee Chan-won: "I Want to Hear Song Hae Teacher Say 'You Grew Up Well'"
[Asia Economy Guest Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 23rd, the six members of Mister Trot appeared on KBS2's 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend' (hereafter 'Immortal Songs') and performed on stage.
On this day, 'Immortal Songs' was themed as the 'Songhae Song Festival Special' in celebration of May, the month of family. Jang Minho described Songhae as "a person every trot singer must meet," and Jeong Dongwon explained him as "someone as comfortable as a grandfather." Lim Youngwoong also revealed his connection with Songhae, saying he nurtured his dream of becoming a singer after winning the grand prize on 'National Singing Contest.'
In particular, Lee Chanwon showcased exceptional MC skills in the studio. Lee Chanwon received applause for delivering the line, "The first singer to brighten up the stage, the trot prince Chanto-baegi Lee Chanwon!" just like a real MC. He also caught attention by expressing his wish to hear Songhae say, "You have grown up well."
