View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation held a certification ceremony on the 22nd in the company’s conference room to celebrate achieving first place for 12 consecutive years in the National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI), which had been canceled due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The corporation scored 81 out of 100 in the urban transit service category, ranking first among urban transit operators nationwide. At this certification ceremony, the Korea Productivity Center visited the corporation in person and presented President Hong Seung-hwal with the NCSI first-place certificate and plaque.
Last year, the corporation received positive evaluations from customers by developing new bidirectional electrostatic precipitator technology that drastically reduced fine dust and ultrafine dust by over 90%, expanding stations with music playing (4 stations, 6 locations), and installing customer waiting rooms equipped with portable coolers and air conditioners on Line 3 platforms.

Meanwhile, the National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) survey involves 334 companies across 78 industries. In the first quarter of 2020, the Korea Productivity Center conducted satisfaction surveys targeting 53 companies in 20 industries including transportation, telecommunications, public sectors, and other services.
