Jeonnam Fire Academy Trainees Warmly Participate in 'Voluntary Blood Donation'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 21st that they conducted a blood donation campaign at the Jeonnam Fire School in Jangheung-gun.
Recently, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the postponement of school openings, individual and group blood donations have been canceled, leading to a critical blood supply situation.
Accordingly, about 30 faculty members and newly appointed trainees voluntarily participated in the blood donation campaign to promote a culture of blood donation and contribute to stabilizing the blood supply.
The trainees who participated in the blood donation maintained social distancing by keeping space between individuals, minimized contact, and adhered to 'everyday distancing' quarantine rules such as wearing masks, checking body temperature, and washing hands.
Ma Jaeyoon, Chief of Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, said, "Blood donation is like life-saving rescue," and added, "We hope that active participation in this precious blood donation campaign will bring hope and encouragement to patients and medical staff facing difficulties."
