According to the Democratic Party on the 20th, Yoon visited Grandma Lee's residence in Jung-gu, Daegu on the 19th, knelt down, and apologized for the hurt feelings Grandma Lee might have experienced. Grandma Lee is scheduled to hold a press conference in Daegu on the 25th regarding the Justice and Peace Foundation and donation-related allegations. On the same day, Lee Na-young, director of the Justice and Peace Foundation, said at the 1440th regular Wednesday rally held in front of the Statue of Peace in Susong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, "We apologize for the recent controversy," and added, "We have officially requested an accounting audit from the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, so please refrain from speculation."
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party has reiterated its position that "fact-checking comes first" regarding the allegations surrounding Yoon. Kang Hoon-sik, the senior spokesperson of the Democratic Party, said during a briefing after the Supreme Council meeting in the morning, "The party's position is that fact-checking comes first concerning the Justice and Peace Foundation's accounting fraud allegations."
He added, "Today's briefing was to reiterate the existing position," and continued, "The Democratic Party will comprehensively judge after reviewing the external accounting audit requested by the Justice and Peace Foundation and the audit results from relevant institutions such as the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and then announce its position."
