Gwangyang City Holds Agreement Briefing Session for Selected SMEs in Technology Commercialization Support
Selected 23 Small and Medium Enterprises, Expected Growth in Strong Companies, Sales, and Employment Increase
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced that on the 19th, it held an agreement briefing session and a roundtable meeting for companies selected for the '2020 Gwangyang City Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Commercialization Support Project' at Rakhee Hotel.
The event, attended by about 40 people including executives and employees of 23 companies such as Daul Co., Ltd. and officials from Jeonnam Technopark, was organized to focus on fostering representative small and medium enterprises in the region through technology commercialization and market development.
The briefing session was conducted by selecting 23 companies out of 49 applicants from a sample survey of 110 small and medium enterprises in the region, providing guidance on project execution procedures and instructions on project fund management.
The selected companies will receive support for process improvement, prototype production, expert consulting, intellectual property acquisition, certification support, R&D planning support, technology and management consulting, promotion, and buyer discovery.
Lee Jae-yoon, Director of the Regional Economy Division, stated, "In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the 'Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Commercialization Support Project' is making a significant contribution to securing the competitiveness of companies," and promised, "We will actively support companies to establish a foundation to grow into global enterprises based on their excellent technologies in cooperation with Jeonnam Technopark."

Meanwhile, the city signed a business agreement with Jeonnam Technopark for the technology commercialization (R&BD) support project and has been investing 300 million won annually from city funds since 2018 to provide step-by-step customized programs for companies.
