Audi Launches Compact SUVs Q3 and Q3 Premium
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Audi announced on the 20th that it will launch the compact sport utility vehicles (SUV) ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI’ and ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI Premium,’ boasting excellent driving performance, outstanding fuel efficiency, spacious interior, and various safety and convenience features.
The newly released ‘The New Audi Q3’ is the second-generation full-change model of the compact SUV Audi Q3, which was globally launched in 2011, and is offered in two lines: ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI’ and ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI Premium.’
Equipped with a 2.0L diesel direct injection turbocharger (TDI) engine and a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission, both ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI’ and ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI Premium’ save fuel consumption while providing dynamic performance. Both lines have a maximum output of 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 34.7 kg.m, with an acceleration time from zero to 100 km/h of 9.2 seconds and a top speed of 207 km/h. Fuel efficiency is 14.7 km/l based on combined mileage (city mileage: 13.4 km/l, highway mileage: 16.8 km/l), and the ‘Audi Drive Select’ allows drivers to choose driving modes according to their preferences, delivering optimal driving in all situations.
‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI’ and ‘Q3 35 TDI Premium’ apply the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, with a longer body measuring 4485 mm in length, 1850 mm in width, and 1615 mm in height, offering a larger interior space compared to the previous model.
The new Audi design concept introduced through the Audi Q8 is applied, featuring a large octagonal single-frame grille and air intakes that deliver a strong impression. Especially, ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI Premium’ is equipped with the Advanced Line and full body paint, creating a more sophisticated atmosphere.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with ultrasonic sensors that measure the distance between the vehicle and objects, displaying it on the MMI display through the ‘Front and Rear Parking Assist System,’ and a rear camera that shows the rear image on the MMI display during parking, making parking more convenient. Furthermore, the ‘Cruise Control’ assists in maintaining a set speed when driving over 30 km/h, and the ‘Pre Sense Front’ warns the driver or reduces speed when detecting dangerous driving situations with the vehicle ahead, supporting safe and convenient driving. Moreover, ‘The New Audi Q3 35 TDI Premium’ features ‘Audi Side Assist,’ which detects vehicles approaching in the blind spot or rear during driving and sends warning signals through the side mirrors, providing an advanced driving experience.
Also equipped with ‘Virtual Cockpit Plus’ and ‘MMI Navigation Plus,’ drivers can control all vehicle information comprehensively and intuitively, and through the ‘Audi Smartphone Interface,’ the vehicle connects with smartphones to control various smartphone functions such as navigation, calls, and music.
