SK C&C Practices Social Value of 'Overcoming COVID-19' with Communication App
Promotion of the 'COVID-19 Member Goods Donation Campaign'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] SK C&C announced on the 20th that it is implementing employees' social value (SV) creation ideas through the employee communication application 'Happ.'
Happ is a mobile-based employee communication app launched by SK C&C in February, considering the limitations of web-based communication channels due to security issues with employees and clients scattered nationwide. It differentiates itself from existing internal communication channels by not only allowing simple opinion sharing but also enabling employees to propose happiness ideas themselves and voluntarily put them into action.
The SV creation idea to overcome the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) together has recently expanded into an official internal campaign. Starting with the idea of "supporting local youth vulnerable to online learning by donating employee contributions and company used laptops," the campaign expanded with the suggestion to "also donate quarantine supplies such as masks," leading to the launch of the "COVID-19 Employee Item Donation Campaign."
SK C&C employees plan to donate laptops, tablet PCs, masks, and other items by the end of this month, and the company will select beneficiaries in collaboration with social enterprises to deliver the donations. SK C&C stated, "Within three months of its launch, Happ has established itself as a core channel that not only realizes employee-driven innovation in work methods but also fosters happiness for employees and our society."
If an idea proposed on Happ receives more than 300 'likes' from employees, a Happiness Promotion Committee is voluntarily formed, centered on the original proposer and other interested employees. After a two-week planning meeting, they proceed to implement the specific idea. The total number of happiness ideas initiated by employees has reached 65. Among them, ideas such as ▲integration of communication channels across the company and business divisions ▲application of artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots to the company resort application process ▲ideas related to changes in work methods within individual units have been put into practice.
