[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] The Jeonbuk Provincial Gugak Orchestra will present the New Year Concert ‘PEACE (Pyeonghwa)’.
According to officials from the Provincial Gugak Center on the 19th, the New Year Concert, commemorating the 110th anniversary of the martyrdom of An Jung-geun, will be held on the 27th at 7:30 PM at Yeonji Hall in the Korea Sori Culture Center.
Originally, ‘PEACE’ was scheduled to be performed on March 25th, but it was postponed to prevent the regional spread of COVID-19.
‘PEACE (Pyeonghwa)’ will be conducted by Kwon Seong-taek and will feature the world premieres of the creative pieces ‘Jo Maria’s Letter’ and ‘Korea Ura!’, as well as masterpieces such as the daegeum concerto ‘Eternal’ and the haegeum concerto ‘Honmu’. The script was written by Ryu Sang-rok, former head of the performance planning office.
