On the 12th of last month (local time), Father Tim Felk of St. Ambrose Church located in Detroit, Michigan, USA, wore a mask and gloves and sprinkled holy water on the parishioners.
Due to social distancing measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the parishioners did not come out of their cars. Instead, Father Felk used a water gun to sprinkle holy water on the parishioners inside their cars, blessing them.

In response, St. Ambrose Church explained, "We introduced a drive-thru style to maintain the tradition of blessing Easter baskets while adhering to social distancing."

Father Felk told the U.S. media outlet BuzzFeed News in an interview, "I wanted to give the children in the parish an Easter experience different from before while maintaining social distancing," adding, "I consulted with a friend who is a doctor about this."
