GS Home Shopping Launches Special Broadcast 'Happy Together' for SMEs Affected by COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] GS Home Shopping is launching a new program to expand sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
On the 20th, GS Home Shopping will start a special program for SMEs called ‘Happy Together - Win-Win Market.’ This broadcast, which will air every Wednesday from 3 PM for 30 minutes, exclusively introduces products from SMEs to help overcome COVID-19.
Starting with the ‘Pen Shell Scallop Set’ from Chungnam Seohae Pen Shell Fishery Cooperative on the 20th, followed by ‘Live Abalone’ from Wando, Jeonnam on the 27th, and the ‘Farmers Support Package Set’ on June 3rd, the program will sequentially feature these products. It mainly sells local agricultural, fishery, and livestock products in cooperation with regional provincial offices.
‘Happy Together - Win-Win Market’ will also be available as a special exhibition on mobile and online platforms. More than 50 products, including those sold during the ‘Happy Together’ TV home shopping live broadcasts, can be viewed at a glance.
Meanwhile, GS Home Shopping has raised a total of 32.3 billion KRW since April this year to support small and medium-sized partner companies facing production and import disruptions and sluggish sales due to the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, the win-win fund, which supports low-interest loans, has been increased by 20 billion KRW to operate at a total scale of 90 billion KRW.
